* Stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water every day keeps you from getting thirsty. It also keeps your body going for the goal.
* Equipment. Shin guards, cleats and socks are essential when playing soccer. Remember, new shoes need "worked" in. They will cause blisters. If you are getting new cleats, get them early and wear them to practice before your first game.
* Each team will play a total of 8 games. 4 of these games will be away and 4 will be home. Most of your games will be on Saturdays. Saturday games can range from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Weekday games start at 6:30 for all recreational games.
